When firm movement details have been agreed an Application for Air Passage (Form F MOV 562) must be completed and forwarded directly to Families Section, DSCOM. This form covers the air passage of Service personnel, but not dependants. Class of travel is subject to individual service requirements/constraints, but generally is at Economy class.

Flights, Hotel Accommodation and Car Hire:
Flights – To be booked via Families Section, DSCOM, Abbey Wood.
Hotel Accommodation – To be booked by yourself or losing unit via HRG. It is recommended that you set up an HRG account if you do not already have one.
Car Hire – If required, you may hire, at public expense, a vehicle of suitable size for your family on arrival at your new post. Reimbursement is restricted to a maximum of 5 days hire charges, any charges over this period will be borne by the individual (insurance and petrol). You should submit a claim with a receipted invoice to BDLS on completion of your rental agreement. There is no entitlement to a hire car at the end of your assignment.
